Over the past 3 years, the Board, along with many volunteers, have focused on ways to improve our Little League experience for your children. We pushed hard and had the main baseball field redone, made improvements to the softball field, purchased all new catchers equipment and paved and lined our parking lot. We created a new single A division for the 5 & 6 year olds to improve their playing experience as well as introducing Fall Baseball and Softball programs at several ages.
This year, we installed a brand new T Ball field and we are working to have a scoreboard put on the softball field. We are also working on upgrading the baseball field scoreboard and installing a PA system to make announcements and play music throughout the park.
We have other big plans in our 62nd season:
· We are in the process of changing to an Athletic Association in order to allow more families to participate in our League
· We are instituting a player of the week acknowledgment for baseball and softball
· We’ll once again host an end of the season Trophy/Outdoor Movie Night that’s free to all registered players and their families
· We’re looking into ways to improve both our Shack and Restroom facilities
And so much more.
Regardless of where you live, everyone can participate in our Spring Little League Season. At season’s end, if you live within our Boundary Map, go to school at Washington Street, Carey High, or if you are Grandfathered into our League, your children are eligible to try out for our Little League Tournament teams. If you live outside the boundaries and/or do not attend the above schools, you children are still eligible for our ever expanding Summer and Fall League programs.
So please register and spread the word to be part of the oldest youth organization in the district. You can register from the comfort of your own home using your Visa or Mastercard. Sorry no American Express. Click the registration button at the top of the page and begin creating memories that will last a lifetime.
